Hey Everyone! So for this week's reflective response, I will be telling you about a very important life lesson I learned, to be optimistic. Lately, I've been surrounded by a lot of negativity in my life and found myself being a pessimist as well. If you don't know what a pessimist is, a pessimist is a person who looks at eveything in a negative way, a downer. And an optimist is the complete opposite, a person who thinks in a positive way, who's perspective thinks in a good way, rather than in a negative way. An metaphor you might be familiar with, "there is half of a glass of water. Do you see it as 'the glass is half full' or 'the glass is half empty'". If you see it as half full, then you think as an optimist, but if you see it as the glass is half empty, you think as a pessimist. So the important lesson I will tell you about today, is try to think as if the glass is half full, be optimistic. Being an optimistic is very important everywhere. If you go to class with a negative mind about the class, the class period may seem negative to you. However, if you keep an open mind, the class period may seem not as bad as you thought it would be. Being optimistic is especially important in our media productions class. As you all are aware of, in class we are watching our third quarter project PSA's; having a critique session. Instead of being pessimist, and not liking these critique sessions, you should be optimistic. Think positively, you shouldn't be hurt about what others say about your video, but instead, take it as advice and make from for improvement. That's it for this weeks reflective response!
